NOW OPEN: The Adult Respite Program (TARP)
Developed by ICL, the Adult Respite Program (TARP) is a program designed to meet the needs of a caregiver or family member who is looking for some temporary help with someone who is disabled. TARP provides compassionate, temporary respite care to individuals with serious mental illness in the Brooklyn area. Services include: medical and psychiatric assessment and follow up, medication management, and ancillary services throughout Brooklyn. Assistance is available in their homes, day program, or in a respite bed within an OMH certified program. Outreach, linkage and advocacy are interventions we use to improve the functional skills of the individual.
